Bio: George R. Carlton Jr. is a co-founder of Godwin Bowman PC. Based in Dallas, Texas, he focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, and he is the chair of the firm's mass tort litigation group. The types of cases that Mr. Carlton has handled have included defense representation in personal injury and wrongful death litigation arising out of oil field accidents, truck collisions and construction site injuries. He also has extensive experience with real estate and construction disputes, energy and environmental litigation, and toxic tort and defective product defense, and he has defended insurance companies in bad faith and other coverage lawsuits. As an undergraduate, Mr. Carlton attended The University of Texas at Arlington, and he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1970.
