Martin Jr. has been practicing law for over 30 years, focusing on workers' compensation and serious personal injury cases throughout South Carolina. During the course of his career, he has handled hundreds of complex cases involving spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, chemical exposures and amputations, among others. In 2005, he co-founded Martin & Martin Attorneys, P.A., in Greenville, South Carolina, where he represents injured individuals. Many of his clients are Spanish-speaking and he has bilingual paralegals. He is a certified Mediator and has participated in numerous Workers Comp mediations. Mr. Martin's reputation has led to many referrals from other attorneys and satisfied clients, an indication of the trust and confidence they have in his legal abilities. His distinguished career is marked by consistent recognition from his peers and professional rating services. He has been honored with the AV Preeminent peer-review rating through Martindale for over 25 consecutive years, and earned a spot in The Best Lawyers in America ever year since 2019. His commitment to his clients and legal experience continue to make a significant impact in the field of SC Workers' Compensation and personal injury law. Raised in Fort Mill, South Carolina, Mr. Martin is the youngest of four children. His father was an FBI agent, while his mother was a high school teacher. A 1987 graduate of The Citadel, he earned his law degree from Mercer University in 1991. Following his education, he served as a JAG Officer in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division from 1991 to 1994. He and his wife have been married for 35 years and are the proud parents of three children. Admitted to practice in South Carolina and Georgia, Mr. Martin is also licensed to appear before the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Georgia, the District of South Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
