Biography
R. Alan Cleveland is a Georgia native and experienced Athens personal injury attorney who has dedicated his legal career to protecting the rights of victims and families that suffer needless physical, emotional, and financial harm due to the negligence of others.
Over the years, his law firm has secured more than $150 million in results for its clients while staying committed to Alan’s basic philosophy: “These cases need special care and attention, and that’s what we do.”

Alan is a Rockdale County native who has lived in Athens for many years, becoming a highly engaged member of the community. He first lived in Athens as a student, earning his undergraduate degree in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Georgia.
Alan went on to pursue a career in the law, earning his J.D., summa cum laude, from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. As a student, he clerked for Georgia Supreme Court Justice Hugh Thompson.
