Biography
AnaMaria concentrates her practice in family court matters, immigration law and appellate practice.
AnaMaria represents clients in all phases of family law litigation, including child custody, parenting time, and complaints for contempt. AnaMaria also litigates the rights of parents and children in cases where the Department of Children and Family (DCF) has removed children from their home based on allegations of abuse or neglect.
AnaMaria’s immigration practice focuses on removal defense, humanitarian relief, and family petitions. AnaMaria has successfully obtained asylum in immigration court, and is experienced in resolving a variety of complex issues before USCIS and ICE.
AnaMaria is also experienced in filing appeals with the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
Active in the legal community AnaMaria is a member of the New England Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and maintains an active pro bono practice concentrating on refugee petitions from citizens of Afghanistan.
