Biography
Following graduation from Law School, Andres began working at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office in September of 2006, where he gained valuable trial and litigation experience. Andres tried 12 cases to verdict within his first year at the office and excelled at evaluating cases and negotiating plea dispositions. Andres was promoted ahead of his peers to the Grand Jury Bureau where he evaluated cases and presented felony matters before Bronx Grand Juries. He took on additional responsibilities and was assigned as a Family Court liaison.

In October of 2007, Andres received a commission as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve and attended Judge Advocate School shortly thereafter. At Judge Advocate School, Andres received extensive training in estate planning and administrative law. He was thereafter assigned to a Legal Support Unit and regularly prepared Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, and Healthcare Proxies for Soldiers preparing to deploy in support of the Global War against Terrorism. In addition, he became a subject matter expert on USERRA and SCRA.
Andres himself deployed to Iraq in 2009 – 2010 where he worked in partnership with the United States Department of State to ensure the rule of law was adhered to with the resettlement of internally displaced persons.
Upon returning to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office Andres prosecuted racketeering, organized crime, and governmental misconduct including but not limited to bribery, forgery, larceny, and official misconduct.
