Biography

Andrew Kinney, Esq., graduated from De Smet Jesuit High School in St. Louis, the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, and Marquette Law School in Milwaukee. He was on Marquette Law Review from 1990-92.  He is licensed to practice law in Minnesota, Ohio, New York, and Wisconsin. He began practicing Social Security Disability Benefits Law in 1992.  He is a former trustee and current member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.  He is the founding chair of the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Social Security Disability Law Section.  He has published a free guide to Social Security hearings:  The Social Security Benefits Hearing: A Client’s Legal Guide.  He is also an editor of The Social Security Practice Guide, a five volume legal set published by Matthew Bender.  For fun, he runs ultramarathons. He has spoken on Social Security Disability law at local, state, and national legal conferences.
