Biography

Representing Survivors of Sexual Abuse by Dr. Mark Mulholland. Learn more about the case. Andy joined Schroeter Goldmark & Bender shortly after graduating law school to advocate for clients who have endured wrongdoing at the hands of powerful institutions. As the older brother to a sister with autism, Andy is particularly interested in empowering the most vulnerable amongst us to obtain justice. His practice focuses primarily on representing workers who have experienced discrimination or abuse in the workplace; individuals who have suffered severe personal injuries due to the negligence of others; and consumers who have been exploited by unfair or deceptive business practices. Along with his work as a litigator, Andy serves on the Legislative Steering Committee for the Washington State Association for Justice to advocate for policy changes to create more just, equitable, and inclusive community. During law school, Andy served for a year as a law clerk for the Washington State Attorney General’s Office in the Complex Litigation Division. As a clerk, he helped litigate cases against the federal government and other powerful entities that harm our fellow Washingtonians. Andy is particularly proud of his work on a case successfully challenging a discriminatory rule that punished immigrants and their families for receiving public benefits. As a point of continuity, he represents pro bono clients seeking asylum from abuse and other dangers in their home country. Before law school, Andy served for two years in a rural Peruvian village with the Peace Corps. He grew up in Renton and is excited to be back in the Pacific Northwest. When not working, Andy spends his time hiking and eating pizza with his partner and their son.
