Since opening its doors in 2006, The Long Island Divorce & Family Law Group, Hornberger Verbitsky, P.C. has grown from a small family law practice into a team representing clients throughout Long Island in matters ranging from straightforward uncontested divorces to complex financial litigation involving business owners, professionals, and high-net-worth families.
Every case begins the same way, not with legal documents, but with a conversation.
Some people contact us before anyone has filed for divorce. Others arrive after receiving court papers. Some are trying to preserve a parenting relationship. Others are concerned about a closely held business, retirement accounts, or significant marital assets. We have also met with clients who ultimately decided not to file for divorce at all. Sometimes the most valuable outcome of an initial consultation is a clearer understanding of the available options rather than an immediate legal decision.
Different circumstances call for different legal strategies, which is why every representation begins with understanding the client’s goals before discussing legal options.
