Biography
Houston immigration attorney Armand Jawanmardi is an attorney who has lived through and understands immigration issues on a personal and professional level. Born to an immigrant father, Armand has seen first-hand the difficulties a person can have adjusting and creating a new life in a foreign country. He has also lived abroad and has experienced what it is like to be a guest in a different country.
Armand has been aggressively defending the rights of immigrants. He concentrates his practice solely in the area of immigration law. He is not afraid to litigate your case in court and does not back down from the government. He does not shy away from the difficult cases. He also understands the emotional and personal challenges that come from wanting to leave your home country and start a new life in the United States. He considers immigration law his lifeâs work.

Armand practices all areas of immigration law with a specialized focus on removal and deportation defense, asylum, immigration bonds, immigration appeals, and adjustment of status. He is a graduate of The University of Texas School of Law, where he focused his studies on immigration and nationality laws of the United States. His legal education also included being chosen as one of twelve students to participate in The University of Texas School of Law Immigration Clinic where he won his first asylum case in court. Prior to attending law school, he graduated first in his class from the University of Houston.
He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Houston Young Lawyers Association (HYLA), and Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA). He speaks Spanish fluently.
