Benjamin R. Gideon is an attorney at Gideon Asen LLC in Portland, Maine. Mr. Gideon practices personal injury, medical malpractice and Commercial Vehicle and Car Accidents law, handling matters involving defective products, nursing home injuries, sexual abuse, auto and truck accidents, and wrongful death. He represents individuals in primarily in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont and throughout New England and the U.S. Mr. Gideon is a graduate of Yale Law School. He is licensed to practice in Maine, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Over the course of his career, Mr. Gideon has litigated complex personal injury cases resulting in significant recoveries for his clients. His work has earned him the rating of AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell. He has also been listed in the publication “The Best Lawyers in America” multiple years in a row and has been featured in America’s Top 100 Attorneys, Benchmark Litigation and Chambers USA. Mr. Gideon is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Attorneys Information Exchange Group, the National Police Accountability Project and the American Association for Justice. He is governor of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and belongs to the professional ethics commission of the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar.
