Biography
"Blaine Norris is a trial lawyer who has spent more than 25 years fighting for injured people and wronged businesses in courtrooms across Georgia. He takes a straightforward, no-nonsense approach to litigation and brings aggressive advocacy to every case he handles.
Over the course of his career, Blaine has recovered millions of dollars in civil judgments and settlements for his clients. He has tried all types of personal injury cases—from car and truck accidents to premises liability and nursing home neglect—as well as business disputes involving contract litigation and commercial matters. His courtroom skills include jury selection, handling difficult witnesses, and presenting complex cases in ways that connect with jurors.
Blaine earned both his undergraduate degree in history and his law degree from the University of Georgia, graduating magna cum laude from each program. He began his career at a large Atlanta law firm before returning to Athens to serve as the domestic violence prosecutor. He then transitioned to private practice, eventually founding his own firm and relocating in 2018 to Prince Avenue in the heart of Athens' medical community to better serve his personal injury clients.
He has taught trial practice at the UGA School of Law for several years and remains active in the legal community. Blaine is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Western Judicial Circuit Bar Association, where he served as President from 2011 to 2012. He has been recognized as a ""Top Attorney"" by Georgia Trend Magazine and named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and maintains a 10.0 rating in Personal Injury on AVVO.
Blaine lives in Athens with his wife, Alison, and their three children.
