Biography

Brian Ketterer* is a founding partner of Ketterer Browne & Anderson and is recognized as one of the preeminent trial attorneys in the country, particularly in plaintiff's complex civil litigation and catastrophic injury. Over the course of his career, he has concentrated on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, representing people who have suffered devastating injuries or loss of life from unreasonably dangerous drugs or products. On both the local and national levels, Brian's practice is aimed at helping clients resolve mass tort, medical negligence, and personal injury claims through the full range of dispute resolution mechanisms. He has extensive experience in mass tort litigation and is frequently appointed to chair or co-chair science and expert committees for Multi-District Litigations. Most recently, he served as co-chair of the science and expert committee for the GranuFlo Dialysis Products Litigation, successfully overcoming the defendant's Daubert challenges. Brian is widely recognized as an authority on Daubert issues, medical and scientific causation, and retaining world-class experts. He is a frequent lecturer to other attorneys in these areas and is routinely sought out by peers across the country to serve as local counsel for cases involving products liability, personal injury, class actions, and mass torts. Before starting his civil litigation practice, Brian served as an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia. A champion for public justice since the beginning of his career, he also represents victims of sexual harassment, wage discrimination, and human trafficking in addition to his mass torts practice. Brian's representative cases and MDL work include serving as co-lead counsel for Simon v. Wyeth et al. in the Hormone Therapy Trial in Philadelphia Common Pleas, co-lead counsel in Ogburn v. Fresenius Medical Care in Massachusetts State Court, lead counsel in Stewart v. MedStar Medical Center, and co-counsel in Scroggin v. Wyeth et al. in the Western District of Arkansas.
