Biography
No one chooses to go through a family law matter as it typically causes disruption in the lives of those involved. Atlanta family law attorney Brooke M. French understands the disruption, difficulty and stress that often accompanies family law situations, and she strives to diffuse the rancor while guiding her clients through their legal matters as efficiently and compassionately as possible. When you meet Brooke, you will quickly learn that she loves what she does; she so enjoys working with her clients and opposing counsel that, to her, it does not feel like a job, instead she sees it as helping clients from a difficult season to the start of a new one.
Brooke represents clients in all aspects of divorce and domestic relations cases in Atlanta-area courts, including divorce, separate maintenance, child custody, child support, modifications of custody and support, contempt, post-divorce modification and enforcement, family violence, paternity, legitimation, and prenuptial agreements. As a parent herself, Brooke has focused on the needs of children in divorce and custody cases throughout her two decade career. Knowing that children’s needs are sometimes inadvertently overshadowed when parents are struggling, Brooke educates her clients about the impact their decisions will have on the children. She takes a special interest in protecting children and maintaining stability in their lives as the family structure changes.
Brooke understands that each family situation is unique and gives each client individualized and personal attention. Because of the complex emotions involved, Brooke utilizes creative strategies to guide her cases to resolution. Brooke works closely with her clients to resolve each matter as she strongly believes collaboration results in the best outcome in the majority of family law situations – particularly those in which children of any age are involved. Brooke recognizes that not all cases can settle out of court, and, in those situations, she is a fierce advocate for her clients, using her attention to detail, her passion for her clients’ cases and her desire to help others to obtain the best results possible.
