Biography
Bruce Maxwell has spent over three decades advocating for justice and serving his clients with dedication and integrity. A graduate of Drake University, where he earned his Juris Doctorate with honors in 1988, Bruce is admitted to practice in all state and appellate courts in Florida and Georgia, as well as several federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
Bruce is a skilled trial attorney with extensive experience handling complex cases in personal injury, wrongful death, and civil litigation. He is a proud member of several prestigious organizations, including:
In 2013–2014, Bruce’s contributions to the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Judicial Relations Committee earned him the “Chair of the Year” award. His career achievements also include recognition as a Georgia Super Lawyer and receiving an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a testament to his legal expertise and ethical standards.
Bruce’s commitment to justice extends far beyond the courtroom. He devotes numerous hours to pro bono work through Jacksonville Area Legal Aid (JALA), providing legal services to those who might otherwise go without representation.
He also serves on the board of Florida’s Children First, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of foster children. Through his work with this organization, Bruce helps ensure that vulnerable children have a voice and access to the support they need.
