C. Joseph McCoy

Joe McCoy is an award winning trial lawyer with an ever-growing record of legal victories and accomplishments. He has won seven figure settlements and judgments for people harmed by corporate greed, neglect, and carelessness. Joe is excited to bring his record of success to Michael Hill Trial Law, where he can devote his efforts exclusively to holding nursing homes accountable when they abuse and neglect our society’s most vulnerable members. With a bachelor’s degree in political science, philosophy and psychology, Mr. McCoy graduated with dean’s list honors from the Grove City College. He continued his studies at the Texas Tech University School of Law, and later moved to Ohio, obtaining his doctorate in jurisprudence cum laude from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Mr. McCoy received authorization to practice law in all Ohio state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has memberships in the Licking County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. A seasoned trial attorney, Mr. McCoy aggressively advocates for people harmed by abuse or neglect in nursing homes. He is sensitive to his clients' emotional turmoil and always looks out for their best interests, no matter how complicated the situation. Mr. McCoy is a dedicated member of the community when he's not working as an attorney. He serves on the board of the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities and is an active participant in his children’s school activities.
