Biography

In the state of Connecticut, Carey B. Reilly represents those who have been injured due to the negligence of others as an attorney with Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder PC. With a focus on appeals and product liability and medical malpractice cases, she has over 35 years of experience at the firm and takes the lead in representing the forgotten, disenfranchised and unheard. Ms. Reilly attended the University of Connecticut, where she graduated summa cum laude and was a University Scholar for her undergraduate degree. She then moved on to the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she again graduated with honors and her Juris Doctor. Admitted to practice in the state of Connecticut since 1982, she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She has argued eight times before the Connecticut Supreme Court, and her efforts had resulted in changes to several state laws. Selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, Ms. Carey has focused her efforts on changing the limitations on the time a victim has to sue an at-fault party in an injury case. A passionate believer in great social change, she is the Editor in Chief of the FORUM publication for the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. She is a member of many professional organizations. These include the Connecticut Supreme Court Historical Society, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association.
