Most people who call us are dealing with one of three things. A loved one passed away, and now there’s a court process, frozen accounts, and decisions that can’t wait. Or they want to get their own affairs in order; a will, a trust, the right documents—so their family isn’t left guessing. Or someone needs long-term care, and the cost is threatening everything they’ve saved.
Different situations, same need: someone who knows Arkansas law cold, will tell you plainly what to do, and will handle the hard parts so you don’t have to. That’s where we come in.
Hi, I’m Chuck Buchan. I’ve been practicing law in Arkansas since 1992, and over the years I’ve sat across the table from a lot of families during some of their hardest moments—settling a parent’s estate, making sure their kids are taken care of, figuring out how to pay for a loved one’s care. Today that’s most of what I do: probate, estate planning, and Medicaid planning.
I work hard to make this simpler than people expect. I charge a flat fee instead of by the hour, so you’ll never hesitate to pick up the phone—and when you do, you’ll reach me directly, not just while you’re deciding whether to hire me, but for as long as we’re working together.
When I’m not at the office, I pastor Maddox Road Baptist Church here in Jacksonville. Law and ministry might seem like different worlds, but to me they’re the same work: walking with people through the moments that matter most and helping them come out the other side.
