Biography
Clarisse Kobashigawa focuses her practice on all civil litigation matters, including plaintiff's personal injury cases, complex commercial business litigation, real property and land use disputes, and employment law. With fifteen years in private practice, she brings jury trial experience in Hawaii's federal and state courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums including arbitration and mediation. Clarisse has extensive experience with personal injury litigation involving 42 U.S.C. §1983 civil rights abuse, toxic torts, pharmaceutical litigation, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death, and has advocated for clients' personal, economic, and business interests across a wide range of forums — federal court, state circuit courts, condominium and homeowners' association disputes and council boards, mediation, and arbitration.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Clarisse earned a B.A. in Political Science from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, and a Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she received the CALI Award for excellence in Commercial Law (Secured Transactions).In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and remains committed to perpetuating Okinawan culture through her involvement with the Hawaii United Okinawan Association.
