Biography

Craig has litigated in state and federal courts including the United States Supreme Court (D.C.), Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and multiple lower federal courts in Arizona, Nevada and California. With proven legal experience spanning almost three decades including two federal clerkships, Craig also has 10 years business experience in real estate and private equity. Unlike most lawyers, Craig spent many years employed in private equity where he aided asset underwriting and complex realty acquisition, entitlements and sales.  Craig also excels in the negotiation of premarital and postnuptial agreements. In sum, Craig is highly effective managing any family law dispute from start to finish including trial and any subsequent appeal.  Mr. Cherney’s recurring appellate practice is well established.
