Biography
Attorney Darla L. Keen represents firm clients in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, personal injury, and wrongful death litigation.
Darla specializes in all areas of medical malpractice and is passionate about fighting for justice on behalf of victims, including the aggressive pursuit of justice for children with preventable birth injuries. She also focuses on advocating for elderly victims of abuse or neglect in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, including those who have suffered preventable falls. In addition, Darla handles all aspects of wrongful death and personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle accidents.
Darla attended the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she served as an associate editor of the Kentucky Law Journal. She has been published in both the Kentucky Law Journal and the National Insurance Law Review. Before joining the firm in 2004, she spent many years as a defense attorney representing hospitals, nursing homes, and physicians in medical malpractice cases — experience that now gives her injured clients a significant advantage as she negotiates settlements and tries cases on their behalf.
Darla has received the Avvo Client's Choice award for her numerous five-star client reviews, and her peers have recognized her as a Super Lawyer every year from 2015 to 2024, as well as a Top Rated Medical Malpractice Attorney for that same span — a title reserved for only the top 5% of attorneys in the nation.
We have extensive experience handling many types of personal injury cases, and we approach every matter with the dedication and attention it deserves.
