David E. Chamberlain

David Chamberlain was recently named the Outstanding Defense Bar Leader in the nation by DRI, the largest international association of defense trial lawyers in North America and Europe.  He currently serves as President of the Austin Bar Association, an organization comprised of over 4,000 Central Texas lawyers.  He also currently serves as an officer of both the Texas Chapters and the Austin Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an exclusive, invitation-only association of the top trial attorneys in Texas. He also serves as co-chair of TexAbota's Legislative Committee where he led the organization's lobbying efforts on HB 274. He currently serves as a National Director on the Board of Directors of DRI. He recently served as President of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and currently serves on the Board of the Austin Bar Foundation. He was honored as the Outstanding Board Director of the Austin Bar in 2008 and named Course Director of the 2007 Advanced Personal Injury Law Course, sponsored by the State Bar of Texas. In 2009, he received the Founders' Award from Texas Association of Defense Counsel for outstanding leadership and service to the civil justice system. He is the founding partner of Chamberlain McHaney where he handles a full docket of complex civil litigation. He is Board Certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (less than 3% of Texas laywers are certified in this area).   He has been named a Texas Super Lawyer for the past seven years and has enjoyed the highest peer review rating issued by Martindale Hubble (A-V Preeminent) for the past 26 years.
