Biography

David Ganderton is the founder and managing partner of Ganderton Law, where he has been handling personal injury claims on behalf of victims for over a decade. His practice focuses on auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, wrongful death, slip and falls, dog bites, premises liability, and general negligence resulting in injury. Dave's path to plaintiff's work came through years of experience on multiple sides of the legal system. After graduating from Stetson University College of Law in 2007, he took a position as an Assistant State Attorney in Sarasota, Florida, living out his dream of prosecuting cases and helping victims. Working as a prosecutor fueled his passion for advocating on behalf of victims and building cases from the ground up. In 2009, he moved to Colorado and became a Deputy District Attorney, prosecuting felony cases until 2011. After leaving the DA's office, Dave worked as an insurance defense attorney, representing major insurance companies primarily in car accident cases, personal injury matters, and bad faith litigation. During his time working for the other side, he learned what insurance companies look for from a plaintiff and a plaintiff's attorney—and what can help or hurt a person's claim. Toward the end of 2013, wanting to get back to helping victims seek justice and now understanding the inner workings of insurance companies, he opened his own personal injury law firm. The trial and courtroom experience Dave received as a prosecutor, combined with his years as an insurance defense attorney, proves invaluable when working on personal injury claims. He has represented and litigated against some of the largest insurance companies in the nation, tried multi-million dollar cases, and obtained multi-million dollar settlements for victims of negligent acts. Dave earned his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Colorado, Wyoming, and Florida, and is a member of the Denver Bar Association, El Paso Bar Association, and Tri Lakes Chamber of Commerce.
