David H. Moyse

David H. Moyse is a founding partner of Jezic & Moyse and has earned a reputation as one of Maryland’s leading criminal defense attorneys. Since co-founding the firm in 2008, Mr. Moyse has successfully defended clients facing some of the most serious criminal allegations in Maryland, including murder, rape, assault, firearms offenses, robbery, manslaughter, DUI/DWI, and other felony charges. Mr. Moyse has been selected to Super Lawyers annually since 2013 and has repeatedly been named to Washingtonian Top Lawyers in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024. He is widely respected for his courtroom advocacy, trial preparation, and ability to secure favorable outcomes in difficult and high-profile cases. In recent years, Mr. Moyse has obtained multiple complete jury acquittals in serious felony trials throughout Maryland.  In May 2026, Mr. Moyse’s client faced prison time for brandishing a firearm on I-270 during a dispute with another motorist.  The jury was out for less than an hour before returning a not guilty verdict on all counts. In 2025, Mr. Moyse secured acquittals in major jury trials in Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, Carroll County, and Wicomico County.  In Wicomico County, Mr. Moyse’s client received an offer to serve 40 years in prison due to allegations of child sexual abuse.  The client adamantly denied the charges and elected to have a jury trial.  Following a Mr. Moyse’s cross-examination of the accuser, and contradiction after contradiction exposed, the prosecutor asked for the Court to take a brief recess and elected to completely dismiss the case. In 2023, he secured a complete acquittal on all handgun and assault charges in Prince George’s County, as well as a full jury acquittal in a second-degree rape trial in Montgomery County.
