Derek P. Wisehart

A criminal defense attorney with the Law Offices of Derek P. Wisehart, Derek P. Wisehart represents clients in Visalia, Tulare and the Porterville metropolitan areas along with Kings County and Tulare County. Along with criminal defense issues such as DUI/DWI, Mr. Wisehart also handles cases of personal injury, administrative law, business and civil litigation, and motor vehicle accidents. He is certified in criminal law by the California Board of Legal Specialization. In 1992, Mr. Wisehart obtained a Bachelor of Science in business administration and finance/marketing, then attended Tulane Law School. There he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1995 and was the executive editor of the Sport Lawyers’ Journal section of the Law Journal. He also received a certificate in environmental law, was a member of The Order of Barristers and was Justice of the Moot Court Board. Mr. Wisehart is a member of the Tulare County Bar Association, a member of the Fresno County Bar Association and a past president of Tulare County Young Lawyers Association. Mr. Wisehart is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California and in California state courts. With over 15 years of trial experience, Mr. Wisehart is prepared to aggressively defend the legal rights of any of his clients. He was a former deputy district attorney for six years in Fresno County. There he handled specialty and felony prosecutions and gained skills and experience that benefit his current clients. For the USC Alumni Club of Central California, Mr. Wisehart serves on the board of directors, and he gives back to his community as Rotarian of Visalia Downtown Rotary.
