Biography

Emily's favorite title isn't attorney—it's wife and mom. She and her husband are raising their young son in the heart of Springfield's historic downtown district, where they're proud to call one of Tennessee's most charming communities home. A classically trained harpist, Emily has always had a love for music and the arts. Whether she's attending a musical theater production, planning her family's next travel adventure, or serving her neighbors as an alderman for the City of Springfield, Emily believes in investing wholeheartedly in the people and places she loves. Her deep roots in Springfield and passion for community are reflected not only in her public service, but in the way she approaches every client relationship—with kindness, dedication, and a genuine desire to help. Emily is a lifelong Middle Tennessean and proud Springfield native. She graduated from Aaron Academy in Hendersonville before attending Vanderbilt University, where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Harp, graduating magna cum laude with highest honors in music history and literature. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School as a recipient of the Dean's Scholarship. During law school, Emily clerked for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee and the Tennessee Department of Children's Services, gaining valuable experience and reinforcing her passion for helping individuals and families navigate difficult legal issues. After being admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2014, Emily returned home to Springfield to practice law. Following several years with a local firm, she co-founded Jones, Green, & Tackett Law, PLLC, in 2019, fulfilling her goal of serving the community that has always been home.
