Biography
Eric C. Trosch has been certified as a specialist in family law by the Board of Legal Specialization of the North Carolina State Bar. A partner at Conrad Trosch & Kemmy, P.A., he focuses his practice exclusively on that area of the law. Mr. Trosch provides representation to residents of the Charlotte metropolitan area whose marriages are coming to an end and who are facing decisions on child custody and visitation, alimony, property division, and other divorce-related issues. A skilled litigator and negotiator, he also has experience in helping to resolve these matters through mediation and collaborative law when appropriate. In addition to his matrimonial practice, Mr. Trosch prepares and reviews prenuptial agreements and assists clients who are seeking to expand their family through adoptions. He also helps victims of domestic violence to obtain appropriate protective orders. Mr. Trosch attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in English and German and receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1996. He then studied at Wake Forest University School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2002. While he was in law school, Mr. Trosch assisted one of his professors who was writing a treatise on North Carolina family law. For his efforts, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers North Carolina Chapter gave him an award for his outstanding contribution to the advancement of matrimonial law. Mr. Trosch joined his current firm in June 2005. Admitted to practice before all North Carolina state courts, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. He is an active participant in the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
