Biography
Houston Smith is a personal injury attorney with over 30 years of proven success representing clients in personal injury, wrongful death, medical negligence, and products liability matters across Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. Throughout his career, he has tried numerous jury trials, achieving verdicts that reach into the seven figures.
In 2025, Houston co-founded Polchinski & Smith Personal Injury Lawyers with partners Ryan Polchinski and Andrew Polchinski, marking a new chapter in his legal career.
Houston earned his Associate of Science from Texarkana College in 1982, his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Texas in 1985, and his Juris Doctorate from Texas Southern University's Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1988.
He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the J.L. Turner Legal Society, the National Bar Association, and the Kaufman County Bar Association.
Houston is actively involved with his church and is a life member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and the Thurgood Marshall National Alumni Association.
