Biography

J. Burton LeBlanc, IV, is a shareholder at Baron & Budd, P.C. in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mr. LeBlanc focuses his practice on representing victims of toxic exposure and workplace hazards, serving clients throughout Louisiana. A licensed attorney since 1991, Mr. LeBlanc has decades of experience with environmental litigation. He is admitted in Louisiana and Texas and before all Louisiana federal district courts. In addition to his practice, Mr. LeBlanc has authored articles for publications, including The New York Times and has spoken at conferences and seminars. He has been named one of the “top 75 plaintiff’s attorneys in the United States” by The American Lawyer and also received the Wiedemann Wysocki National Finance Council Award from the American Association for Justice in 2007 and 2010. Mr. LeBlanc has always been heavily involved in the Louisiana Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice, serving in numerous leadership roles and on several committees of both organizations. He presently sits on the executive committee of the Louisiana Association for Justice and is president of the American Association for Justice. Mr. LeBlanc has been involved in additional organizations, including the Louisiana Bar Foundation and the American Bar Association. He is an active member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the College of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Texas, the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys and the National Association of Shareholder and Consumer Attorneys. Mr. LeBlanc earned a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. He received his law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
