Jason L. Melancon

Jason Melancon is a co-founding partner at MRD and the lead litigation attorney for the law firm. Jason focuses his practice on the firm’s cases involving complex personal injury, commercial litigation, and appellate litigation. Jason was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1993, Jason graduated Valedictorian from Broadmoor High School and received his Biological Engineering degree from Louisiana State University in 1997. After working in the engineering industry, Jason gained admission to the Paul M. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University. Jason became a Senior Associate with the Louisiana Law Review and graduated with his Juris Doctor in 2002. Jason has successfully tried numerous jury trials and filed numerous appeals before the state appellate courts and Louisiana Supreme Court. Jason is admitted to practice in all state courts, including the United States District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Louisiana, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
