Biography
Injured in a crash? We take on the insurance companies— so you can focus on healing.
In the vibrant heart of Austin, Texas—where tradition meets innovation—Joe Lopez stands as a formidable personal injury trial lawyer. With decades of experience, unshakable integrity, and a heartfelt commitment to his clients, Joe has built Joe Lopez Law into more than a practice—it’s a legacy of advocacy, compassion, and the belief that every individual deserves a voice, respect, and fearless representation.
Joe’s journey began in El Paso, Texas, a border town known for its resilience and rich cultural tapestry. Raised in a hardworking family, he learned early that justice isn’t confined to courtrooms—it’s a daily commitment to service, loyalty, and integrity. These values shaped his character and laid the foundation for a career dedicated to fighting for the underrepresented.
Joe entered the legal arena in 2003 and quickly made his mark. His first litigated case pitted him against corporate giant Exxon Mobil Corporation before the 3rd Court of Appeals. At just 25 years old, Joe delivered oral arguments in December 2004, defending the Voice of Cornerstone Church’s land rights (160 S.W.3d 657). Despite Exxon Mobil’s vast resources, Joe’s relentless advocacy secured a victory on March 10, 2005, preserving the church’s property—a triumph that foreshadowed the tenacity he’d bring to every case.
That same year, driven by a calling to serve those in need, Joe founded Joe Lopez Law. What began as a bold leap has grown into a premier personal injury practice focused on catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation.
