Biography

Joe Stephens grew up in a small town in Oklahoma. His dad delivered gasoline, and his mom was a school teacher who taught him how to work hard. He worked his way through school in the Oklahoma oil fields and later attended law school in Houston, Texas. His older brother, a legendary lawyer, mentored Joe by letting him participate in major trials right out of law school. He also let Joe try the small cases, giving Joe experience with 20 cases in his first 2 years out of school. Since then, Joe has tried over 150 cases, most for working people or families. Many of his cases have garnered statewide and national attention, such as the infamous Clara Harris case, the woman who ran over her husband because he was cheating on her. Many of his trials have been featured on the news, and Joe has been asked by networks such as ABC, Fox, NBC, and CNN to speak about his cases and current legal topics of interest to the public. He has been featured and quoted many times in The Houston Chronicle, The San Antonio Express, The Texas Lawyer, Verdict Search, The Texas Reporter, and The National Law Journal. Joe understands the importance of having the ability to support a family. He and his wife Tess raised triplets. When Joe takes your case, regardless of the size, he knows what a bad injury or tragic death can do to a person and how it can affect a family. Nothing is more valuable than you and your family. Joe makes sure you get every dollar you deserve.
