Biography
A lifelong Middle Tennessean, Joe draws on his unique background and life experience to be a highly effective advocate for the injured.
In 2005, Joe began his legal career in Nashville working for insurance companies, defending cases against injury victims. He saw firsthand how often insurance companies mistreated victims who were simply seeking justice, and through that work, he came to understand how insurers approach risk management and value cases. Most importantly, he realized he was called to serve people, not corporations.
In 2009, after relocating from Franklin to Smyrna, Tennessee, Joe noticed that Rutherford County lacked lawyers dedicated specifically to injury law — so the Law Office of Joseph Weir, PLC was born. In just three years, his passion for representing the injured helped grow the practice, and in 2012 he partnered with colleague Tony Kestner to form Weir & Kestner Injury Lawyers.
Today, Joe draws on his background and life experience to put himself in his clients' shoes, applying effective strategies to maximize results as one of Middle Tennessee's top personal injury attorneys. His philosophy is simple: every case, regardless of size, matters, because he represents people, not corporations. Joe and his family live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where his passion for defending injury victims' rights reaches across the entire Volunteer State.
Joe's unique background began before he was even born. His mother emigrated from Colombia, South America, and met his Pennsylvania-born father while both were working in the medical field in Nashville. Between their different cultural backgrounds and seven children, Joe grew up in a large, blended family — an upbringing that taught him the value of independent thought and effective communication.
