Biography

John Davidson is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of the Virginia Law Review. Upon graduation, the faculty bestowed upon him the Earle K. Shawe Labor Relations Award as the graduate with the greatest promise in the field of labor relations. Following a clerkship with a federal judge, John practiced with McGuireWoods LLP, one of the largest firms in America and the largest firm in Virginia. He then co-founded Davidson & Kitzmann, PLC with another McGuireWoods lawyer. John is a highly experienced courtroom lawyer, having been trying cases and handling appeals in federal and state courts for over 28 years. However, many of his clients prefer to resolve their matters confidentially outside of court. He is always pleased to help a client achieve the client’s goals with discretion and care. Most of John’s work comes from referrals from other lawyers and from former and current clients, but all are welcome. John has been honored to receive numerous professional recognitions, including: John’s practice spans the areas of employment law, appeals, healthcare professionals, and high-stakes disputes. John was initially trained as a management-side employment lawyer with one of the largest firms in the United States. John then formed his own firm and began representing employees over 20 years ago.
