As the managing partner at the Law Offices of Joseph J. Tock, attorney Joseph J. Since founding his own firm in Putnam County in 1992, he has become a leading figure in the courtroom across Putnam, Dutchess and Northern Westchester counties. Operating from Mahopac, New York, for over three decades, Mr. Tock's journey through the legal landscape is truly remarkable. He has successfully navigated more than 500 personal injury automobile accident cases and crafted over 1,300 wills, addressing the diverse legal needs of countless clients over his 40-year career. Hailing from Brooklyn and raised in Queens, Mr. Tock is an alumnus of St. John's University, graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in 1981 and a J.D. in 1983. Licensed in New York since 1984, he has also been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Notably, Mr. Tock was one of the youngest attorneys recruited by the Bronx County District Attorney's Office, where he managed hundreds of criminal cases, particularly focusing on child sex crimes and homicides. Throughout his career, he has taken more than 75 felony cases to verdict, including 17 homicides. Deeply embedded in his community, Mr. Tock has served as a long-standing member of the Mahopac Public Library Board of Trustees, as well as director and past president of the Putnam County Bar Association. His involvement extends to past roles as vice president, counsel and board member of the Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he is affiliated with the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the New York State Bar Association, the Bronx County Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and he contributes to the Putnam County Grievance Committee.
