Biography
Josh Gertler represents individuals and families in personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, and industrial/maritime-related claims. Blending legal training with an M.B.A. background, he handles complex damages and economic issues while keeping clients informed at every step.
Josh joined the Gertler Law Firm in February 2010 after earning his J.D. from Tulane Law School and M.B.A. from Tulane University’s business school (both 2009), and his B.S. from Syracuse University (2003); he was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2009
Outside the courtroom, Josh is active in real estate development in the New Orleans area, which complements his business-minded approach to complex injury cases.

Josh is part of the trial team serving Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines Parishes and cases statewide, including New Orleans, Metairie, Kenner, Gretna, Marrero, Chalmette, Belle Chasse, Avondale, and St. Rose. He joined the firm in 2010 and works closely with clients from first intake through resolution.
