Kathleen M. Reilly is the co-founder and managing partner of Brady Reilly & Cardoso, LLC in Kearny, New Jersey. As an attorney, Ms. Reilly has been handling serious personal injury claims in New Jersey courts for 40 years. Her recent successes include multiple significant confidential settlements involving medical malpractice, ride share companies and boutique claims including a $2,750,000 settlement at trial after 6 years of litiagation in a trucking case where a 68 year old driver was seriously injured when struck by an 800lb pallet of bluestone, a $1,250,000 settlement of wrongful death case when 82 yr old man struck while crossing the street, total of 3.7 million in medical malpractice claims related to surgical issues, $950,000 wrongful death settlement for estate of 82 yr old woman killed by truck which crossed lane and crashed into her vehicle;  $6,000,000 settlement of a wrongful death case involving a pedestrian struck and killed by a trash truck, a $500,000 settlement on behalf of a family of a man killed on his motorcycle, a $750,000 wrongful death claim against a health fitness facility, a $700,000 settlement of a dram shop automobile case, a $1.8 million settlement during mediation of a construction accident case, a $390,000 settlement in an automobile accident, a $850,000 settlement against a large box store when client was injured when a box fell on her head, a $537,000 jury verdict in a Title 59 slip and fall in the Kearny Town Hall as well as confidential medical malpractice settlements involving claims against emergency rooms physicians and an internist for a misdiagnosis in the ER, an anesthesiologist for negligence in the administration of an epidural injection and against a dermatologist for a delay in the diagnosis of Melanoma. Ms. Reilly negotiated a $1.5 million settlement at trial for a woman who was injured when struck by a delivery man with a hand truck in a convenience store, a $6 million verdict in a construction accident case, a $1.2 million settlement in an automobile accident case, and a $1.2 million verdict in an accident involving a bicycle and a limousine. Ms. Reilly is a member of ABOTA, a national trial lawyers association, has been certified and recertified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a certified civil trial attorney, a distinction claimed by less than 2 percent of New Jersey lawyers. Ms. Reilly is a 1982 graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law. She has been in private practice in Hudson County since 1990, representing plaintiffs in different types of litigation but always with an emphasis on personal injury. She is the immediate Past President of the New Jersey Association for Justice, a past president of the West Hudson Bar Association, member of the American Association for Justice, The New Jersey State Bar Association,  the American Association for Justice Top 100 Trial Lawyers, the Hudson County Bar Association and is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.  Most recently, Ms. Reilly was named to NJBIZ Top 50 lawyers in NJ for 2021.  She is a Trustee for the Hudson County Bar Association , a member of the Hudson County Arbitration Committee and Co-Chair of the Civil Practice Committee for Hudson County.   Ms. Reilly has been a speaker on a variety of different topics at the Annual Conventions for the American Association for Justice, NJ, the New Jersey Defense Association  and the New Jersey State Bar Association ICLE. Kate Reilly was a 2024 recipient of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey Trial Bar award, 2023 recipient of the Gerald B O'Connor Award for Excellence in Medical Malpractice and the Civil Litigator of the Year for the Hudson County Bar Association in 2014.
