Keith I. Braunfotel began his legal career at the Kings County District Attorneys office in Brooklyn, New York. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he began representing police unions, including the New York City Policemen’s Benevolent Association and the Rockland County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association. During his tenure representing police unions, he was able to provide legal assistance to members on various legal issues, including personal injury, workers’ compensation, criminal defense and real estate.
When not practicing law for his clients, Mr. Braunfotel serves as Town Justice of the Town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York.
Mr. Braunfotel continues to make time for his community. Mr. Braunfotel is the chairman of the Assigned Counsel Plan of Rockland County, which provides underprivileged people with legal assistance. He is a member of the New City Rotary Club and an Executive Committee Member of the American Heart Association. Mr. Braunfotel is also Deputy Counsel to the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority.
Mr. Braunfotel is member of the Rockland County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
