Biography
Kristin Schmit White was born in Chicago, grew up in Oklahoma City, and moved to Georgia to attend the University of Georgia. She earned a double major with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Speech Communication. While at UGA, she studied abroad at Oxford University and attended classes in British Constitutional Law and International Conflict. She earned her J.D. with a Concentration in Advocacy from Stetson University College of Law.
Prior to joining the Coleman Legal Group, Kristin worked for a firm that handled all aspects of subrogation litigation and worked to maximize recovery through litigation, negotiation and mediation. She was an adjunct instructor, who taught classes in criminal justice and ethics in criminal law. She is a former Georgia Assistant Attorney General, who handled post-conviction litigation cases at both the state and federal level in the Criminal Justice Division.
Kristin is admitted to practice in all Georgia state and superior courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court and the Northern Federal District.
Kristin spends her free time with her husband and four children at the lake. She enjoys playing tennis, skiing, traveling and always finds time to cheer on the Georgia Bulldogs.
