Biography
A Knoxville native and double Vol alum, Marieve K. Webb brings dedication and growing expertise to her practice at Banks and Jones. From her early days as a law clerk to her work in the Wrongful Convictions Clinic, Marieve has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fighting for justice and achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Marieve joined Banks and Jones as a law clerk at the end of her first year of law school. During her time as a clerk, she gained invaluable experience in legal research, drafting pleadings, and working directly with clients across diverse civil litigation matters. Marieve was licensed to practice law in Tennessee in November 2025 after successfully passing the bar exam and being sworn in as an attorney.
A proud graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Marieve earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in Sociology in 2021, where she was actively involved in Mock Trial. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law in May 2025. During law school, her accomplishments included serving as a 1L Mentor, joining the Moot Court Board, and achieving recognition as a 1L Advocacy Competition Finalist.
In a particularly notable achievement, Marieve served as a Student Attorney in the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Wrongful Convictions Clinic. Her dedicated work in the clinic resulted in the successful release of a wrongfully convicted man from prison, deepening her commitment to justice and reinforcing her belief that everyone deserves fierce advocacy.
Outside of work, Marieve enjoys reading, cheering on UT athletics, keeping up with various professional sports, spending time with her two dogs, and relaxing at the lake.
