Biography

Mark was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago before moving to Minnesota during high school. He later attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison and returned to Illinois after college. A longtime Chicago-area resident, he enjoys photography and playing the guitar. After studying communication arts in college, Mark spent five years working in Chicago's film and video production industry, channeling his creative energy into animation, live-action commercials, industrial video, a television pilot, and a TV series. Following law school and before joining Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates, he practiced Social Security disability law and later taught legal writing as an adjunct professor at The John Marshall Law School. Mark has volunteered with the National Runaway Switchboard and the American Civil Liberties Union, and while in law school, he provided unpaid, law-related services for the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago.
