Biography

In fact, that’s why all of our ancestors came to this country, and were themselves originally unwelcome. Because that’s the story of America. From Ben Franklin’s worry that Germans were ruining Pennsylvania, to 19th century 60-year ban on the Chinese immigrants who had just finished building our rail system, to…the Irish, and their insatiable applying… > “John Stewart” Mason represents the firm’s growing Family Law practice. He represents our clients in divorce and custody proceedings as well as probate matters including guardianship. Mason represents clients throughout Central and Northwest Arkansas and has practiced in various Circuit Courts in the State of Arkansas. Serving as both defense and plaintiff’s counsel, Mason continues to grow his practice in order to better serve his community. Having served as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Benton County from 2019 to 2022, Mason has hundreds of hours of courtroom experience. In 2022, he was recognized as Arkansas Specialty Prosecutor of the Year and was nominated to serve on the Arkansas Supreme Court Commission on Children, Youth and Families as Commissioner. As Commissioner, Mason serves alongside fellow judges, lawyers and government officials to identify ways that Arkansas Courts can better serve the children and families of Arkansas. Before obtaining his law degree and license to practice law, Mason was a high school teacher in Little Rock, Arkansas where he taught high school social studies. It was there that he truly discovered his desire to better the lives of those around him and continues to bring that same passion into his legal practice. To Mason, a lawyer’s true duty is to improve the lives of his clients and increase awareness and understanding of the judicial process for everyone. We vigorously represent clients facing removal from the United States, defending their interests in immigration court and, if necessary, the courts of appeal, including the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”) and the circuit courts. When necessary, we sue the immigration agencies to ensure their actions comply with the laws that regulate them. ▶
