Biography

Matt, a former legal assistant at the firm, joined the firm as a trial lawyer in 2013 after graduating from Northern Illinois University College of Law and successfully completing the Wisconsin bar exam. His practice is primarily devoted to representing the rights of injured persons. He also practices in the areas of insurance disputes of all types, worker’s compensation, nursing home abuse, products liability and criminal defense. Matt is also licensed to practice in Illinois. During law school, Matt worked part-time at the Northern Illinois University Office of the Ombudsperson where he assisted members of the NIU community, including students, family members and university staff, with any questions or concerns that they had relating to the university. In addition, during the summer of 2012, he served as a law clerk in the State’s Attorney’s Office in Lee County, Illinois, where he was able to take the lead in prosecuting a bench trial and arguing motions in court under the supervision of a licensed attorney. Matt was also an active member of the Trial Advocacy Society and represented the College of Law as a competitor on NIU’s AAJ National Mock Trial Team. In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with family and friends. During the summer months, Matt plays baseball for the Genesee Rebels in the Land O’Lakes league.
