Matthew C. Clawson

Attorney Matthew C. Clawson is the managing partner of Clawson & Clawson, LLP, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mr. Clawson concentrates his practice exclusively on family law and serves clients in Colorado Springs, Denver and throughout the state. Mr. Clawson has over 20 years of legal experience and has represented a diverse range of clients over the course of his career. He is the recipient of awards and honors from numerous publications and organizations, including the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys, the National Trial Lawyers, the American Society of Legal Advocates and the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. A seasoned trial attorney and negotiator, Mr. Clawson has been inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an invitation-only organization for attorneys who have secured verdicts or settlements of more than $1 million on behalf of their clients. He is active in the Douglas Elbert County Bar Association, the El Paso County Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. Dedicated to his community, Mr. Clawson has been involved with various community organizations over the years. These include the Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region, Restorative Justice in Colorado and the Pikes Peak United Way. He volunteers his time to the Colorado Attorney Mentoring Program through the Colorado Supreme Court. After earning his bachelor’s degree, Mr. Clawson went on to graduate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He also holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Colorado. He holds licenses to practice law before all Colorado state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the Supreme Court of the United States.
