Morrison is the Managing Partner of The MTM Law Firm PLLC and team lead for the firm’s probate department and case management operations. From the firm’s Lakeland office, Matthew guides families and individuals across Florida through some of the most challenging legal processes they will ever face, including probate administration, estate planning, estate litigation, real estate litigation, and trust administration. Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, where he developed a strong foundation in property, trusts, and estate law. Before law school, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at the University of Central Florida, giving him a well-rounded understanding of Florida’s legal system from multiple perspectives. He was admitted to The Florida Bar on December 21, 2017 (FL Bar No. 1005203) and is an active member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section. As team lead, Matthew is the attorney who establishes the legal strategy and manages every case through the court system. His practice centers on Florida probate administration, estate planning, estate litigation, real estate litigation, and trust administration. In Matthew’s experience, families navigating probate often feel overwhelmed by the procedural requirements and timelines Florida courts impose. His approach is to create a clear, step-by-step plan so clients always understand where their case stands and what comes next. Matthew believes that probate does not have to be an adversarial or confusing process. When disputes do arise among beneficiaries or personal representatives, he works to resolve them efficiently while protecting his clients’ rights and interests. For estate planning clients, he focuses on creating documents that will hold up under Florida law and minimize complications for loved ones down the road.
