Biography
Megan Kiefer is a partner at Kiefer & Kiefer and a proven trial lawyer who has collected over $100 million for her clients over the course of her career. She has handled more than 3,000 accident and injury claims and has tried judge and jury trials in both federal and state courts, building a reputation as a fierce litigator who fights hard for her clients to get them the justice and compensation they deserve.
Megan has handled cases involving car accidents, motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, 18-wheeler accidents, drunk driving accidents, Uber and Lyft accidents, severe spinal injuries, traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death, paralysis, surgeries, burn injuries, and high-profile defamation matters.
Her recent results include a $4.5 million settlement for a client struck by a commercial vehicle while working, causing multiple surgeries including a spinal cord stimulator; a $3.3 million jury verdict for a client who suffered a neck injury during a massage; a $2.25 million recovery for a client who slipped and fell at a department store and underwent back surgery; a $2 million recovery for a client who slipped and fell at a restaurant and suffered a spinal fracture; and a $1.5 million recovery following a commercial vehicle accident causing a back injury necessitating surgery.
Megan graduated at the top of her class from Tulane University Law School in 2009 with an Order of the Coif distinction. There, she served as Senior Associate Editor and Board Member of the Tulane Law Review, as well as a Board Member of Moot Court and the Lambda Alliance. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia in 2006 and also received training and certification in mediation and negotiation in international and cross-cultural settings from Humboldt University of Berlin. She is a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy.
Megan is on the adjunct faculty at Tulane University Law School, where she teaches Trial Advocacy and Negotiation and Mediations. She is a frequent lecturer, with recent presentations including ""Can't We All Just Get Along?
