She received her Juris Doctor cum Laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2003. Following law school, Meredith developed her litigation skills, working in civil litigation at civil defense firms in Chattanooga. About 20 years ago, Meredith left general civil litigation to pursue a criminal defense practice. In 2015, she opened The Law Offices of Meredith Mochel, a practice committed to defending individuals facing serious legal challenges. The firm remains the only all-female law office practicing in both Tennessee and Georgia.
