Michael Guajardo, the driving force behind Guajardo Injury Law, in Austin, has over 30 years of legal experience advocating for individuals in personal injury cases. Mike was born in Lubbock, Texas, and earned his B.B.A. in Finance and J.D. from Texas Tech University. He began his legal career with Thompson & Knight, P.C. in Dallas, Texas, where he spent several years doing defense work in various types of personal injury matters. He then decided to switch sides, and he began representing individuals rather than insurance companies. “My decision was an easy one. I wanted to be the kind of lawyer who helped people rather than large companies,” says Mike. He has never looked back, and he has continued representing injured victims and their families for the past 30 years. Mike has been actively involved in his profession and fighting for the rights of Texas citizens for many years. He has also been involved in the Texas Trial Lawyers Association since 2000. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2003, as Vice President of Membership from 2010 to 2012, and as President of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association in 2014. Mike has served as a Director of the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association since 2007 and is a member of the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association. He serves on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice and is a member of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America.
