Biography
Mitchell S. Sexner is the founding attorney of Sexner Injury Lawyers LLC. A former Cook County prosecutor and lifelong resident of the Chicago area, he has worked in the legal profession since the 1980s and established his private law practice in 1990.
Mr. Sexner's career has included extensive courtroom work, the prosecution and defense of criminal and traffic cases, and leadership of a legal team that represents people harmed by personal injury, medical malpractice, workplace accidents, sexual abuse, nursing home negligence, and other wrongful conduct. Under his leadership, the firm and its affiliated legal teams have recovered more than $40 million in settlements and verdicts for injured clients and their families.

Mr. Sexner received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Evanston and earned his law degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology's Chicago-Kent College of Law. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1986.
Mr. Sexner began his legal career as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. In that position, he prosecuted thousands of matters involving traffic offenses, driving under the influence, juvenile cases, misdemeanors, and serious felonies.
