Mr Joseph

Joe graduated from Gloucester High School in 2003. After early acceptance to Virginia Wesleyan College, where he earned a Leadership Scholarship, Joe transferred to Endicott College. At Endicott, Joe earned a Presidential Scholarship from the late Dr. Richard Wylie and a bachelor’s degree in Law & Government in 2007. After college he went on to the Massachusetts School of Law. He served on the Student Bar Association as the 3L Representative and graduated with his Juris Doctorate degree in 2010. Joe has clerked at the Essex County District Court under the Honorable Judge Richard Mori and also interned with the Gloucester Police Department. He was admitted to practice in front of the Connecticut Supreme Court in Hartford in November of 2010, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in June of 2011, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts in September 2011, the First Circuit Court of Appeals in October 2019, and the Supreme Court of the United States in October 2020. Since he began practicing, Joe has focused in the areas of maritime and land-based personal injury law, including automobile accidents, slip/trip and falls, dog bites, medical malpractice, and maritime injuries. Joe handles matters in both the Federal and State Courts. He is a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, the Maritime Law Association, the Gloucester Bar Association, The New Bedford Bar Association, the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, and BNI-Lighthouse-Gloucester. Joe enjoys giving back to the community. He currently serves on the boards for Everyday Heroes, a non-profit which provides emergency funding for families of deceased first responders and military personnel, and Gloucester Little League.
