Biography

I’ve spent more than 20 years in family law, first as a litigator and now as a mediator, arbitrator, and private judge. One thing hasn’t changed: courtroom divorce is expensive, stressful, and slow. That’s why I focus on out-of-court approaches that are quicker, calmer, and more cost-effective — and keep the decision-making in your hands, not a judge’s. My work extends beyond divorce. I help couples with prenups, cohabitation agreements, co-parenting plans, and blended family arrangements that bring stability before or after major life changes. For clients with added financial or personal complexity — business ownership, professional practices, military service, LGBTQ+ parenting, or artists and athletes — my mediations go beyond the basics to consider the bigger picture. I look at the ripple effects, bring in expert consultants when needed, and support couples in shaping solutions that hold up for children, businesses, and careers. With both flat-fee and hourly options, costs stay predictable and under control. After more than two decades in California courtrooms, I have a clear sense of how cases play out and how judges tend to rule on custody, support, and property issues. That perspective helps me guide clients toward realistic expectations and agreements that stand up over time and minimize the risk of future dispute.
